A man in Montrose has been shot, says the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
According to the department, the victim - who has not yet been identified - was shot in the back during an altercation. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, and the status of his injuries are unknown at this time.
Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson said a suspect has been apprehended and is currently being questioned.
