Cali Stroo of Laurel was recently named Teeny Miss Magnolia State, a state title. The pageant took place on July 21st in Vicksburg. She is the three-year-old daughter of Johnathon and Erica Stroo.

Representing Jones County, Stroo competed against 52 other girls in her age group, scoring the highest overall. Along with the State title, Stroo walked away with $1,000 in prize money, a five-foot trophy, sash, and custom crown.
"Of course, we are so proud of her, but we never expected her to take the crown," said Erica Stroo, her mother. "I told her before each walk to smile big, wave big, and have fun and she definitely did."
Cali loves the stage, and she was begging to go “play stage” again even after she won. "Making the top 15 was thrilling, but to go all the way was a shock," said Stroo.
