A 41-year-old Bassfield man was arrested by Hattiesburg Police on Saturday on felony weapon and drug charges,
Antonio Nixon was arrested in the 6500 block of Highway 49, and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (ecstasy), with an enhancement for possession of a firearm at the time of arrest, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Officers seized a handgun and ecstasy during the arrest, according to HPD Public Information Officer Ryan Moore. Nixon was booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility.
