A 48-year-old Richton man was arrested by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office in early November after he violated bond conditions while living in Perry County without sex offender notification.
Ottis Hinton was arrested near Beaumont after a vehicle accident. It was later discovered that Hinton, a sex offender registered in Forrest County, was residing in Perry County without notification and had also violated his bond conditions for failing to register in December 2019.
He was transferred to the Forrest County Correctional Facility facing charges of failing to register as a sex offender, according to Scott Lees, Forrest County Public Information Officer.
