Student athletes from William Carey University treated Hattiesburg police officers and firefighters to lunch Dec. 9 to show appreciation for all they do for the community.
It’s part of a service project sponsored by the Athletic Student Leadership Council called, “Serving those who serve us.”
Lunch from Chesterfield’s was hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and lima beans. The drinks came from Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
WCU students delivered lunch at three fire stations, and police officers swung by the WCU Office of Advancement to pick up their plates. #servingthosewhoserveus
