Food, fun, and hayrides are set for this upcoming Saturday in the Sharon Community as “A Reedy Creek Christmas” will be held from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.
The event will take place at 324 Reedy Creed Road in Laurel and will feature 43 vendors from around the community including Kassie’s Cones, and vendors serving fried corn, hot dogs, BBQ, Chicken-on-a-stick, deep-fried snickers and Oreos, and other vendors with gifts.
“Vendors of all kinds will be at the outdoor event!”
A Reedy Creek Christmas will also feature Mississippi talent throughout the event and will offer a hayride to and from the event. Parking will be provided by First Baptist Church of Sharon who will provide the hayride to the location and back every fifteen minutes.
“You can enjoy Christmas music while riding over on Santa’s big red tractor,” says the founders of A Reedy Creek Christmas.
Speaking of Santa, kids are encouraged to bring their Christmas wish list as he will be there from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with picture opportunities available.
Lucky Easterling who was featured and won the History Channel reality show “Forged in Fire” will also be at the event for a meet-n-greet opportunity.
There will also be a fundraiser opportunity with cake auctions and other things for First Baptist Church of Sharon’s senior pastor Matt Olsen and his family. Olsen’s residence sustained major damage over the weekend when they arrived back at the church parsonage and it was engulfed in flames. Donations are more than welcome to help assist the Olsen family.
