The Hattiesburg Police Department is continuing to look for the suspect involved in a Nov. 1 hit-and-run accident after the victim died from his injuries Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Country Club Road about 8 p.m. Nov. 1. Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict said the victim has been identified as David Jones, 35, of Hattiesburg.
“We are still asking for help from the public in locating the driver and vehicle involved in the incident,” said Ryan Moore, HPD Public Information Officer. “A photograph is believed to be the vehicle, and it is believed to be a dark-colored pickup truck or possibly an SUV.”
