Jones County-Boggy Volunteer Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 10 Ball Drive Tuesday morning at approximately 6:25 a.m.
Upon arrival of the first responding fire apparatus, firefighters found one side of the single wide mobile home to be fully engulfed in flames. The home sustained major damage in the incident.
Miranda Kitrell lived at the home but was not present at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is suspicious and the Jones County Sheriff's Department will be investigating.
Boggy VFD was assisted by Moselle, South Jones, and Southwest Jones VFDs and Seminary Volunteer Fire Departments out of Covington County.
