A wanted suspect has fled a traffic stop on foot according to a press release by the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
Kolton Pearson allegedly fled officers on Highway 15 South near Will Young Road.
Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies are currently searching the area for Pearson. He is described as white male, wearing camo jacket, bandana, cap and blue jeans according to the report. .
The JCSD asks anyone who sees this subject should avoid him and call 911 to report his location. Do not attempt to make contact with this suspect.
According to the statement released, a female subject who was wanted out of Missouri on a felony warrant was captured on scene. This is reported as an active situation.
Deputies have also advised deer hunters who are in the woods near this area to be on the lookout for this subject in the woods, but do not engage the suspect.
