At 8:40 p.m. on Saturday evening, Glade Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the 400 block of Old Highway 15 Road, just north of Dairy Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a Hyundai Sonata overturned in the middle of the road. Two adults and two small children had extricated themselves out of the overturned vehicle.

About a quarter mile north of the scene, responders found a GMC truck with minor damage and a single occupant.

Miraculously, and thanks to proper use of seatbelts and child restraint seats, Passengers in the vehicles only sustained minor injuries. EMServ Ambulance Service responded to the scene and treated those injuries.

No persons involved in the major collision required transport to the emergency room.

Glade VFD was assisted by M&M and Powers volunteer fire departments.

The departments assisted with traffic control and emergency medical care. The Jones County Sheriff's Department was also on scene.
