A disturbance at The First National Bank on 16th Avenue in Laurel caused nearly a dozen Laurel Police Department units to converge on the bank Thursday afternoon.

Reports of a disturbance of sort caused units from the city to respond.

Laurel police Chief Tommy Cox said that that a suspect was in custody, however, was also assuring that no one was injured and that there is no threat to anyone's safety thanks to the quick action taken by officers.
