The firearms of a 21-year-old Hattiesburg man were seized Tuesday afternoon by Hattiesburg Police when he was reported brandishing an assault rifle at 660 W. Fourth St.
Officers were able to locate the individual a short time later at 1400 Hardy St., according to Ryan Moore, Hattiesburg Police Department Public Information Officer.
Deandre Wade admitted to displaying a weapon within 1,500 feet of a school and concealing a weapon in his waistband. He was issued a post arrest citation, and the firearms were seized during the incident.
