Smith County's Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program will hold the Class of 2022 program virtually. This year, they have five outstanding participants: Jalee Hand, Shayna Bruce, Raelynn Saranthus, Jay'Nia Keyes, and Morgan Prestage.
These five participants from Smith County will compete in areas of Scholastics, Interview, Self-Expression, Talent and Fitness. Each participant was given the opportunity to compete in the "Be Your Best Self" Essay Contest for a scholarship.
On January 8th, the five young ladies will film segments for Self-Expression, Talent and Fitness. Interviews with the judges will be held on January 9th via Zoom. We plan to have a Facebook Live awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9th.

Founded in 1958, Distinguished Young Women is a free program that encourages participants to reach their full individual potential. Our mission is to empower young women by providing over $1 billion in scholarship opportunities, developing their self-confidence and participating in our Life Skills Workshops that prepare them for success after high school.
