The 2021 Salute to Grea Tivessa Wards Gala will be held Feb. 20 at the Civic Center in Collins for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to honor the people and businesses that exemplify excellence, leadership, and commitment to social responsibility in the spirit of Dr. King.

The gala is hosted by the Committee of Pine Belt Mississippi in Ellisville. Thaddeus D. Edmonson Sr. is the president of the Committee.

The special individual award will be presented to Hope Magee-Jones, the first African-American mayor of Collins. Other guest speakers will be announced, along with great food, and live entertainment.

The meet and greet will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program and food at 6:30 p.m. Dress is formal.
