The West Jones High School Kiwanis Key Club took the top prize in the Kiwanis Club of Laurel Pancake Day ticket sales for 2021.

West Jones Key Club members sold 800 tickets to account for $8,000 in ticket sales. West Jones Key Club member Lawson Odom was the high individual seller with 25 tickets sold. West Jones Key Club sponsors Melissa Bryant and Wendy Grafton worked closely with the club members to achieve the impressive sales total.

Kiwanis Club of Laurel President Randy Smith notes, “Great job by the West Jones High School Key Club in being the top seller of Pancake Day tickets. Key Club members at Laurel Christian High School, Laurel High School, Northeast Jones High School, and South Jones High School also had tremendous Pancake Day ticket sales totals as well.”

Kiwanis Club of Laurel Key Club Liaison Michael Cudworth notes, “Pancake Day proceeds fund college scholarships for deserving high school seniors at the five high schools in Laurel and Jones County. In addition, these funds are used to provide multiplication and division flash cards for every third grade student in Jones County. Thanks to our Key Club members for helping make these projects financially possible.”
