According to Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson, the infant's initial autopsy results showed no signs of trauma or foul play.

"Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers," said Johnson.

A 911 call to the Jasper County Sheriff's Department Saturday afternoon led to finding an infant passed away, according to the department.

"We got a 911 call around 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon from a neighbor stating they thought a baby had passed away," said Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson.

"Deputies responded to the call and then found the child deceased," continued Johnson.

Sheriff Johnson said due to the child being an infant, they are not releasing more information until autopsy results confirm the cause of death.

More updates will be available when results are released.
