The yellow, 2003 Ford F-150 that was stolen on the 900 block of Highway 590 Monday has been located and recovered in Bassfield Wednesday evening, according to the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
Thursday morning, the 2006 Ford F-150 that was stolen off the campus of Jones College was located and recovered by the Covington County Sheriff's Department. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
Two Ford pickups have been stolen in separate incidents and the Jones County Sheriff's Department is asking the public's assistance in finding the trucks and identifying the suspects.
"The Jones County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of a 2003 Ford F-150 single cab pickup truck, yellow in color, which was stolen on Monday from a location in the 900 block of Highway 590," said the department in a release.
According to the JCSD, the vehicle tag number is JN1 1108.
Prior to the theft of the yellow Ford pickup, another Ford pickup was stolen, this time on the campus of Jones College per the sheriff's department.
"The Jones County Sheriff's Department is searching for a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck, white in color, which was stolen from the Jones College campus over the weekend," continued the department.
"The pickup has a Rankin County tag, RA2-7854," added the department.
The suspect was caught on a security camera at Jones College.
"A suspect in the theft is shown in an image from a security camera as well as the truck as it is being stolen. In addition, a daytime photo of the Ford F-150 pickup truck is shown as well," said the sheriff's department.
