A Jones County Sheriff's Department traffic safety checkpoint led to the arrest of a man who resisted two JCSD deputies attempt to take him into custody, per a press release by the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

According to the release, Jimmy Tucker was arrested on Wednesday at the intersection of Hopson Traylor Road and Poole Creek Road. T

Tucker was discovered to have 37 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies Migel Grimaldo and Joshua King took Tucker into custody after he aggressively resisted arrest. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute, Resisting Arrest and serval other offenses.

This arrest follows an arrest on Tuesday evening by JCSD Deputy Chase Smith and Deputy Migel Grimaldo of Andrew Hamil into custody for possession of 17 grams of meth in his vehicle.
