A traffic safety checkpoint in the Glade Community during the evening hours resulted in the arrest of a male subject in possession of 17 grams of methamphetamine, per a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested Andrew Hamil for Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent To Distribute. According to the Jones County roster website, Hamil was also charged with no insurance and no tag.
JCSD Narcotics Division Sgt. Jake Driskell notes, "Great job by the Jones County Sheriff's Department Patrol Division in making this arrest and taking 17 grams of methamphetamine off the streets."
Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin advises, "We are working hard to keep the pressure on drug dealers in Jones County. Expect that effort to continue unabated."
