Two men have been arrested by the Jones County Sheriff's Department after a tip from a citizen helped aid in the arrests.

A tip called in to Jones County Crime Stoppers led to the arrests on Friday morning of two men wanted on Bench Warrants issued by the Jones County Circuit Court Judge.

Myron Dakeem Brown and Wesley Rashad Jones were taken into custody by Jones County Sheriff's Department investigators and narcotics agents at a residence in Laurel.

Both men were listed as "Most Wanted" by the JCSD.

The Bench Warrant for Myron Dakeem Brown is in relation to a Felon In Possession Of A Weapon charge. The Bench Warrant for Wesley Rashad Jones is in relation to a Possession Of Marijuana With Intent To Distribute charge.

"We continue to see great results from information on JCSD wanted persons shared by local news media organizations and via JCSD social media," said Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin in a release sent by the department.

"We continue to press the fight against those who knowingly and willingly break the law in Jones County. It's really simple, if you don't want us knocking on your door with an arrest warrant, just do right," noted Berlin.
