Members of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division and SWAT Team executed multiple search warrants before daybreak Friday in a drug round-up that produced four arrests.

Sgt. Jake Driskell said that Alonzo Nix, Alozon Holder, Thomas Culpepper and James Troy Wolverton Sr., all of Jones County, were picked up during the operation around 4:00 a.m. Friday.

Law enforcement authorities confiscated felony amounts of some controlled substances, including marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy tablets and heroin. Misdemeanor charges were also filed against the suspects.

Nix was charged with sales of a controlled substance and the possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; Culpepper faces charges of the sale of a controlled substance and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility; Wolverton was charged with possession of MDMA with intent and possession of a controlled substance; and Holden will face a charge of conspiracy to commit a crime-felony.

According to authorities, Nix, Culpepper and Wolverton had their bonds revoked.
