Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies and investigators have been responding continuously to various places since an apparent tornado struck areas of Shady Grove, Sharon and Sandersville this morning.
Many roads remain blocked and board of supervisors crews and volunteer fire departments are busy clearing them. Power is out to a large area as well. Please do not travel into the damaged areas to sight-see as this impedes recovery operations.
