The driver of a truck allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident Saturday in Hattiesburg has been taken into custody.
Armando Rocha, 37, of Hattiesburg, was arrested in the 500 block of South Gate Road about 4 p.m. Saturday. He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident (felony), and booked into the Forrest County jail.
Hattiesburg police sought help in locating an older model blue Ford pickup truck that was believed to be involved in the fatal hit-and-run in the 900 block of Broadway Drive on the Service Drive.
A man was pronounced dead in Hattiesburg after emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The incident was reported about 11 a.m.
