The body of 55-year-old Hattiesburg resident Clarence Norwood – who had been reported missing since Jan. 24 – was discovered about 1 p.m. Thursday when Hattiesburg police were notified of a deceased male in a vacant lot in the 600 block of Williams Street.
Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict said the individual is Norwood. There is no foul play suspected, and the family has been notified.
