UPDATE: Sgt. J.D. Carter of the Investigation Division of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office said authorities are now looking for a 2016 Toyota Camry, MS tag JND 6090, silver in color. Numerous emergency vehicles responded to a residence just north of the Laurel city limits after noon today. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that a body was found in a dwelling in Jones County on Shady Lane. Shady Lane runs off of Highway 15 North just outside the Laurel city limits in the Shady Grove community.
Investigators are treating the death as a possible homicide.
