A 23-year-old Hattiesburg man was arrested on a variety of drug charges after he fled on foot from a traffic stop about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Jaxavian Holmes was nabbed in the 2300 block of West Seventh Street and charged with two felony possession counts of a controlled substance (Oxycodone and marijuana), two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance-schedule 3 (Xanax and codeine syrup) and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct-failure to comply and resisting arrest.
Officers seized Xanax, Oxycodone tablets, liquid codeine syrup, marijuana, and $21,244 in cash.
Holmes was booked into the Forrest County Jail.
