Laurel Police Department officers responded to a call of shots fired on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the 700 block of 8th avenue. The call came in at 1:33 a.m. A short time later, Officer Crabtree conducted a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle in the area of Wansley and Flynt roads. There were three juveniles and one adult suspect arrested at the scene.
Jashawn Solomon (19 years of age) stands charged with one count of possession of a stolen firearm. Solomon had his initial appearance in Laurel Municipal Court this morning, and his bond was set at $20,000. The shooting is still under investigation.
