A 38-year-old Hattiesburg woman was arrested Thursday in an ongoing embezzlement investigation involving the purchase of a $27,000 off-road vehicle on the company credit card.
Christy Bartholomew was arrested in the 100 block of Shadow Lake Drive and charged with embezzlement. Hattiesburg police made the arrest with the assistance of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department.
During the investigation, law enforcement authorities discovered Bartholomew purchased a 2020 Can-Am Side x Side with a company credit card.
Bartholomew was booked into the Forrest County Jail. Additional charges are pending in the investigation.
