A number of Jones County volunteer fire departments responded to a train that has derailed in Moselle, on Sellers Road at both the Frito-Lay plant near Ovett-Moselle Road and at Moselle Road early Wednesday morning.
Sellers road is blocked to traffic between those roads. The train was carrying automobiles and also polyvinyl and acetone.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
The train is run by Norfolk Southern and the company is enroute with crews to assist with clean up. Hazmat crews are enroute as well.
The clean up will likely take two to three days.
Fire departments responding to the scene included Moselle, Southwest, South Jones, Union, Ovett and Johnson. Jones County Emergency Management Officials, Jones County Sheriff's Department and Emserv Ambulance Service were also on scene.

At this time Hwy. 11, Moselle Oak Grove Road and Ben Thompson Road are passable for traffic.
The Jones County Fire Council urges residents to use extreme caution as multiple agencies are on scene and working to clear the area. DO NOT TRAVEL IN OR NEAR THIS AREA.
Please avoid this area entirely.
