Modern banking. We talk with Pine Belt area bankers to discern what has and hasn't changed.

Technology has brought vast changes to the banking industry. In fact, internet banking has become so rampant these days that customers engage less and less with tellers, and often they chose their banks based solely on its level of online services. Have a smart phone? Ninety-five percent of the population does, and many are banking that way.

Yet, despite having convenient new services, many still appreciate and expect banking to have that same old-fashioned feel with familiar, friendly faces, preferring the surety of brick-and-mortar spaces instead of cyberspaces. We talk with a few in the banking industry this week as we explore banking in the Pine Belt.
