Police Badge

According to information released today by Chief Tommy Cox, at approximately 1:32 p.m. on Sunday officers from the Laurel Police Department responded to the area of South 16th Avenue at Woodlawn on a call about shots being fired. Officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported by LPD to SCRMC for treatment. The injuries were considered serious but not life threatening. It was reported that a black male suspect had shot the victim from a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was descried as a late 70s or early 80s model Cutlass two-door that was gray in color. LPD is asking anyone who may been in the area or has seen this vehicle to contact the LPD at 601-399-4440 or Crime Stoppers at 601-428-STOP.
