An 18-year-old Hattiesburg is behind bars after his attempts to sell a trumpet Thursday led to a burglary charge. Although Clifton Summerall may have been able to play the trumpet, it was stolen.
The trumpet was taken from a previous auto burglary, and Summerall was arrested about 8 p.m. in the 3200 block of Hardy Street. He was charged with auto burglary and transferred into the Forrest County Jail.
The stolen property was recovered.
