Three people who fled from a stolen vehicle are being pursued by Lamar and Forrest county sheriff’s deputies after a traffic stop Wednesday morning.
The assailants entered Forrest County and Forrest County sheriff’s deputies responded to assist. The trio of suspects abandoned the vehicle near Charlie Anderson Road in the Pistol Ridge Community.
Drones and canines were utilized to search the area in addition to heavy patrols by Forrest and Lamar county deputies. However, the extensive search yielded no results and the three suspects are still at large.
Forrest County Deputy Charlie Sims warned residents about being careful.
“We urge the public to secure their property and keep a watchful eye for suspicious activity,” he said.
