A 55-year-old Mount Olive woman who allegedly shot and killed a 41-year-old man Tuesday after a shouting match has been charged with murder and is awaiting a bond hearing from a Covington County Justice Court judge.

After questioning by Covington County deputies, Angela Leigh King (Hancock) admitted to shooting James Mack “Jamie” Sullivan of Mount Olive at the 139 Dilmore Dennis Road home of King and her husband, Robert Keith King, 51. Keith King, who is a convicted felon with a previous federal drug charge, was charged with being in the presence of a firearm.

Covington County Sheriff Darrell Perkins said deputies arrived at the residence and found Sullivan with an apparent 12-gauge gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Angela King told investigators Sullivan became angry about his clothes being put outside and then came at her. After the shooting, her husband called Sullivan's employer, who was outside, and then the authorities were called.
