(UPDATE May 27, 2020): One of the four Hattiesburg residents questioned in a death investigation was booked into the Forrest County Jail on a previous misdemeanor charge of malicious mischief Wednesday. Matthew Bethley, 25, came forward to the Hattiesburg Police Department for questioning.

The other three Hub City residents – Tedarron Price, 27; Vernelle Jackson, 40; and Courtney Roberson – have come forward for questioning, and no charges are being filed at this time.

The four were wanted for questioning after a death investigation occurred Sunday in the 1100 block of Franklin Street. Hattiesburg Police received a call before 6 a.m. Sunday in reference to a deceased male in the roadway in the 1100 block of Franklin Street. 

(May 26, 2020): Four Hattiesburg people – two men and two women – are wanted for questioning after a death investigation occurred Sunday in the 1100 block of Franklin Street.

The four people are Tedarron Price, 27; Matthew Bethley, 25; Vernelle Jackson, 40; and Courtney Roberson. On Sunday, Hattiesburg Police received a call before 6 a.m. in reference to a deceased male in the roadway in the 1100 block of Franklin Street.
