Two unrelated traffic stops by Forrest County sheriff’s deputies in the past five days resulted in two arrests and numerous drug offenses.

Debra Ann Brown, 50, of Ellisville was charged with three separate counts of possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility on Tuesday night after deputies saw a vehicle driving carelessly near the intersection of Highway 49 and Interstate 59.

After the vehicle was searched, 58 grams of marijuana, 20 oxycodone pills, and 25 Xanax bars were discovered.

Last Friday, Henry Archie Guy, 39, of Petal was arrested by a Forrest County sheriff’s deputy and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine and marijuana. He was also charged with malicious mischief after kicking a window while trying to be detained.

The deputy regained control of the situation and transported Guy to the Forrest County Correctional Facility.
