According to Paul Sheffield, executive director of Jones County EMA, the National Weather Service in Jackson as placed Jones County in the Limited Threat area for flooding tonight. Rainfall in the amount of 1" to 2" is possible beginning around 9 p.m. tonight through 9 a.m. Thursday morning, February 20.
"Flooding and ponding of rain on roadways is possible through tonight," said Sheffield.
Sheffield added that they are presently monitoring all the local creeks.
