A 28-year-old Hattiesburg man wanted for questioning in connection with a Dec. 18 shooting has turned himself in. Rayshad Patrick is part of an ongoing investigation involving a shooting in the 2600 block of Sunset Drive. No charges have been filed at this time.
No one has been arrested in the shooting and assault that were reported to Hattiesburg Police on Wednesday, December 18. Officials say the incident was isolated and apparently involved acquaintances of the victim.
When officers arrived, they discovered one person was suffering from a gunshot wound, and a female appeared to have been assaulted with minor injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
