After a long 48 hours of rescue, recovery and cleanup after Sunday afternoon's storms, Hebron Volunteer Fire Department was called to the report of a structure fire at 6910 Highway 84 West just before 7:00 Tuesday evening. Upon arrival fire personnel found a single story wood home fully involved in flames. No one was home at the time of the incident. Neighbors reported hearing a loud pop shortly before 911 was activated.
No injuries were reported. Hebron VFD was assisted by Calhoun, Pleasant Ridge, Soso, South Jones and Powers volunteer fire departments. MHP and Jones County Sheriff's Office were also on scene.
