Two Pine Belt women were arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with a shooting that took place about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Dabbs Street.
Lauren Johnson, 25, of Sumrall was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution.
Hailey Jones, 20, of Hattiesburg was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution and possession of a controlled substance (meth).
The scene of the shooting was later determined to be in the back of a vacant lot in the 900 block of Dabbs Street. The male shooting victim drove himself to a local hospital for treatment.
Additional arrests are pending at this time.
