A heated dispute over a parking space in Hattiesburg sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound during the Labor Day weekend. Hattiesburg police officials are looking for the person who fired the shot.
Officers from the Hattiesburg Police Department officers answered the call for a reported shooting in the 100 block of Plantation Place Drive about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.
The shooting victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said. He was treated at the hospital and released. A Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman said the shooter and the victim knew each other.
