A 41-year-old Sumrall man was arrested on multiple charges by 12th Circuit Court Metro Narcotics agents after a month-long investigation.
Anthony P. Smith had been suspected of selling narcotics from various rooms at the Wagon Wheel located near the Forrest-Perry county line. He was on parole/probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and was the main suspect in the investigation.
About 23 grams of methamphetamine and a stolen firearm from Jones County was allegedly in Smith’s possession. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Smith was transported and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility. The Mississippi Department of Corrections assisted in the arrest.
