Hattiesburg police thwarted the completed theft of a stolen vehicle Thursday when the vehicle was stopped by On-Star and the 21-year-old Hub City man was grabbed in a wooded area off Classic Drive.
Phillip Fishbein was apprehended after officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2700 block of Oak Grove Road about 5:30 p.m. They located the vehicle on Classic Drive after the vehicle was stopped by On-Star and the driver fled.
Fishbein was charged with receiving stolen property, and booked into the Forrest County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
