Severe Weather possible for Easter Sunday in the Pine Belt

According to Jones County EOC Executive Director Paul Sheffield, The National Weather Service in Jackson has placed the entire Pine Belt Region in a Moderate Risk category for severe weather Easter Sunday.

“All modes of severe weather are possible,” said Sheffield. “Tornadoes are likely with some of these, possibly as strong as an EF3 or greater and with a long track.
