Highway 11 near Bryant’s Seed & Farm Supply in Moselle was shut down for several hours Friday afternoon after a two vehicle wreck involving an 18-wheeler. The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. Witnesses stated both a red Ford F-150 and the 18-wheeler were traveling south on Hwy 11 when the incident occurred.
The 18-wheeler is owned by Kenan Advantage out of Petal, according to a company representative on scene. The 18-wheeler typically carried butane but was not loaded at the time. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the emergency room by Emserv Ambulance Service. The driver of the F150 declined transport to the emergency room.
Moselle, South Jones, Southwest Jones, Ovett, Union and Sharon volunteer fire departments responded to the scene, along with officials from the Jones County EOC and MHP.
