History will look back at this time years from now and record who was on the “right” (pun intended) side of it and who was not.
For many of us who voted for Donald J. Trump in 2016, one issue pushed us to the polls: who would we prefer to pick the next two or three Supreme Court Justices. For us, the choice was clear.
As Trump’s third nominee to the high court goes before the U.S. Senate in the coming weeks, one issue is on the mind of us all: Roe v. Wade.
Today, pick the side in which you want history to remember you on.
Since Roe v. Wade was decided on in 1970, over 60,000,000 (that’s 60 MILLION) lives created by our Creator have been snuffed out. I’ll put it more bluntly - butchered. That phrase will make some of you angry, and if it does, educate yourself on the abortion process and how an innocent, heart-beating life is ended and dismembered. No other word I could have used describes it better.
Advances in technology since Roe v. Wade have allowed us to see the baby’s reaction toward the beginning of the process, as he or she dodges the long instrument and reacts in pain when it finds its mark. No person of good conscience watches something like that and remains unmoved by it.
Nothing on this side of eternity is more innocent and undeserving of such abhorred practices than that of an unborn child. King Solomon once said the following: “There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him, haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and *hands that shed innocent blood,* a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16-19)
As Trump’s recent nominee, Amy Coney Barnett heads to the den of vipers and bloodthirsty carnivores, also known as Senate Judiciary Committee, Democrats will stop at nothing to discredit her. We saw the shenanigans pulled by the Democrats with Trump’s earlier nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. They pulled in Christine Blasey Ford, who couldn’t remember who it was that supposedly did the things to her she claimed happened 35 years ago. After days of going through foggy memory, Ford said it might have been Kavanaugh; then, by Hearing Day before the Senate, she was sure it was Kavanaugh. Meanwhile, Kavanaugh’s wife sat by her man in tears and watched the left assault him on hearsay with no evidence whatsoever except for that of a known liberal activist.
If you think Democrats won’t go to similar lows with Barnett, then think again. It’s already started. Democrats have already attacked her Christian faith as if to say, if you hold such beliefs, you too should be disqualified for public service. And it doesn’t stop there. Democrats have also stooped as low as to attack her for adopting black children from Haiti. As an adopted kid myself, that angers me beyond words. All of this, I might add, in an attempt to save their evil practice of abortion.
Which side of history will you stand on?
I’m not as naive to believe that one more conservative judge on the high court is enough to overturn Roe v. Wade, but it’s a moral stand in the right (pun intended once again) direction.
Fill that seat.
