A 37-year-old Hattiesburg man was arrested about 2 a.m. Thursday in connection with the apparent shooting of a person’s leg.
Hattiesburg police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of West Park Drive at InTown Suites. When officers arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old individual with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injury, said Ryan Moore, HPD Public Information Officer.
Jonathan West was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
West was booked into the Forrest County Jail.
