Flash Flooding possible today between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., according to Jones County EMA Executive Director Paul Sheffield.
“We could see some short-duration heavy rainfall storms developing,” said Sheffield. “We are on the eastern edge of the limited threat area. With this threat area, we could see 1 to 2 inches of rainfall rates per hour inside these storms, which could cause localized flash flooding issues in low lying or flood-prone areas.”
