Hattiesburg Police Department officials are trying to collect information about a man who apparently died from a gunshot wound that occurred about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Franklin Street.
The individual was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to Ryan Moore, HPD Public Information Officer. The identity of the victim was not available.
