Jones County Sheriff Office investigators Joel Brogan and Jeff Monk, along with other JCSO deputies, executed a search warrant around 5:00 p.m. Thursday at a home located at 518 Pleasant Ridge Circle in Ellisville.
The agents confiscated approximately 26.1 grams of cocaine, which was divided up into 60 bags. The drug has a street value of about $100 per gram, noted JCSO Sgt. Jake Driskell. Some scales were also taken from the scene.
Kelvin Chinn, age 47, was arrested and charged with the alleged possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1500 feet of a church. Driskell said that additional charges are being considered against Chinn.
The suspect will have his initial appearance in court today. Chinn is from Laurel but had been renting the house in Ellisville.
